I recently attended a conference and was shown the video “How Youth Learn: Ned’s Gr8 8”. This video is based on researched backed findings on how the teenage brains functions. I found this video to be a great reminder of all the great things we as teachers are doing in our classroom. It is also a reminder of the things we should be doing but are not always doing. For instance, I am not always allotting time for students to reflect on their learning but this is an important part to committing information and skills to memory. Even though it is a struggle to fit all the English content into the school year it It’s helpful that this video is not only informative but also entertaining.
